The Leroy Greenspan Memorial FSMTA Community Service Award

THE LEROY GREENSPAN MEMORIAL FSMTA
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD

This award is given to a high school junior or senior who has received approval for early admission to college to recognize leadership, achievement, and service to his/her school, community and church or synagogue in the field of music during the last three years of his/her high school career.

Broward County winners receive a plaque from FSMTA and a $100.00 award from our local organization. The state winner receives a plaque and a $500.00 award from the endowment in memory of LeRoy Greenspan and the FSMT Foundation.

Applications may be secured from the Chairman. Completed applications must be in the hands of the local chairman by January 31. 2010.

All members of FSMTA are encouraged to submit applications for their students who are presently a member of the ninth grade class for the 2010 Local Presidents FSMTA Community Service Award and for their students who are presently a member of the twelfth grade class for the 2010 LeRoy Greenspan Memorial FSMTA Community Service Award.

The applications are due to the president of the local MTA or High School Liaison Chairman by March 1, 2010. Applications of each county winner – Local Presidents and LeRoy Greenspan – with the $25 fee per winner must be in the hands of the FSMTA State Chairman by April 1, 2010. The application fee is paid by the local MTA.

The Local Presidents FSMTA Community Service Award winner receives a plaque and a check for $200. The LeRoy Greenspan Memorial FSMTA Community Service Award winner receives a plaque and a check for $500.
